    I think I can confirm that it is Enoshima in Kanagawa Prefecture. They took the picture against the backdrop of Enoshima.

    Maybe they were on an end of year school trip. Some students in the same uniform are on the far left at the back. Maybe there are from the same school, but another class. This is school group photo of teacher and her class. We can see a bridge on the far right, and looks wooden.
    Wikipedia tells us that this bridge was made of wood before 1949.

    修学旅行かもしれませんね。後ろの左端には同じ制服を着た学生もいます。もしかしたら、同じ学校で、別のクラスかもしれません。先生とクラスの集合写真です。右端に橋が見えますが、木製のようです。
    ウィキペディアによると、1949年以前この橋は木製だったそうです。

  2. 少女たちの、先生の、笑顔が印象的です。そしてこれは、どこかで見たことのある風景。探して探して突き止めました。右奥に見えるのが、藤沢市の江の島の桟橋です。判明したとたんに、彼女たちの笑顔がもっと鮮烈に見えました。きっと楽しい一日だったでしょうね。
    The girls’ smile is very impressive. I did know the place where they were – the shape of the hill looks very familiar. After the extensive internet surfing, I found out it must have been shot in Enoshima, Fujisawa in Kanagawa. As soon as I realised that, their smile appeared to be even more vivid – they must have had a good day.
