  1. We received a comment from a student at Tsukuba University:
    The description of the photo on the postcard says, “This is said to be the Ishigedo rapids.The torrent of water rushing against the rocks is like a dancing white dragon.” so I think this photo is of the Ishigedo rapids in Aomori Prefecture.

  2. 青森県の奥入瀬渓流、石ヶ戸の瀬は、カワセミだけではなく、ヤマセミも聞かれ、清涼で美しいところです。ISHIGEDO NO SE at Oirase Gorge, Aomori prefecture, is truly beautiful, hearing not only kingfishers but also crested kingfishers along the sound of the stream. (The card mentions kingfishers in cool wind in summer.)
