Is there any cultural background to be discovered from investigation these traditional Kimonos and the patterning of the fabrics and the obi – do they contained a family crest?
There are good references written about traditional Japanese costume.
Another reference I have is Geisha of Gion, The Memoir of Mineko Iwasaki.
