   We received a phone call from a journalist who wrote an article about Untitled.Showa letting us know that the number plates are from Kanagawa. Until 1960’s the licence plates in Japan were set via prefectures, and not by towns.

   Untitled.Showaの記事を書いてくださった、ジャーナリストの方から電話があり、ナンバープレートが神奈川県のものであることを教えていただきました。1960年代までの日本のナンバープレートは、町単位ではなく都道府県単位で決められていました。

   Tonbochan さんからダイレクトメールにて下記のメッセージを頂きました：

   角度によりますが、私には上原謙さん似の彼はむしろ２２７，２２８（写真番号）のベストの男性に似てるような気がします。俳優上原謙さんはもう少しうりざね顔かな？でも確証はないです。

   We received the following message via direct email from Tonbochan:

   It depends on the angle, but to me, the man in photos no 227 and 228 wearing a vest looks more like Ken Uehara. I think the actor Ken Uehara had a bit more of an oval face, but I can’t be sure.

   The car licence plate is from Kobe.
