   We received a comment from a student at Tsukuba University:

   This is a like a commemorative photo taken in front of the film location bus from the Daiei movie “Sisters of Nishijin”, which was released in 1952. You can see the characters for the Daiei Kyoto Film Studio on the bus, and I think there is no doubt, as the film was set in Nishijin, Kyoto. Since this film was released in April, we can presume that this photo was taken in 1951.

   筑波大学の学生さんからコメントをいただきました：
   1952年に公開された大映映画「西陣の姉妹」のロケバスの前で撮った記念写真のようです。バスには大映京都撮影所の文字が見え、この映画の舞台が京都の西陣であることからも、間違いないと思います。映画は4月に公開されたので、この写真は1951年に撮影されたものと推察されます。

   バスの横側に貼られたポスターから、「西陣の姉妹」という大映映画の撮影現場であることがうかがわれます。
   From the signage on the side of the bus, they were shooting a feature film called “Nishijin no shimai (Sisters of Nishijin)” produced by Daiei film company (1952).
