   This image, 242, of the 4 women has a great similarity to some of the women in No 241

   ”開襟シャツの発想を科学的な思考をもって改良し、戸田式開襟シャツを作り、夏の正装として日本中に広めたのは、 大阪府高槻市にある大阪医科大学の前身大阪高等医学専門学校の第二代校長　戸田正三博士でした。”

   ”開襟シャツの販売が始まったのは、昭和5年（1930年）京都大丸と丹心マート（京都駅前の丸物百貨店の前身・千本今出川・ 西陣警察署の土地にあった）であったと記載されています。その後、博士自身による啓発活動が実り、昭和8年頃（1933年） には日本の夏の正装となっていたようです。”

     “It was Dr. Shozo Toda, the second president of Osaka College of Medicine, the predecessor of Osaka Medical College in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture, who improved the idea of the open-collared shirt with scientific thinking, created the Toda-style open-collared shirt, and spread it throughout Japan as formal summer attire.”

     “It is stated that the sale of open-collared shirts began in 1930 at the Kyoto Daimaru and Tanshin Mart (located on the Senbon Imadegawa/Nishijin Police Station land, the predecessor of the Marumono Department Store in front of Kyoto Station). After that, Dr. Yamamoto’s own educational activities bore fruit, and by 1933, it seems to have become Japan’s formal summer attire.”
