Maybe the young man standing third from the right in #247 is the same person as the man in photo 273.
Julie
We received a comment from Kumiko Sakota on FB:
The apron which says, Ise 〇〇〇 has a trade name of a market.

Translation of above Chie san’s post: An acquaintance of mine who lives in Kyoto told me that it might be Ise bathing beach, and indeed the people on the right is wearing an Ise apron. Maybe it is a family related to Toyobo, since an old Toyobo postcards exist (in the collection – photo no.) 328.
wiki: Matsugaura Beach seems to no longer exist due to Ise typhoon damage. It is a reclaimed land in Tomisou, present-day Tomida Isshiki district of Yokkaichi City. Known as a scenic spot with beautiful pine trees, Matsugaura was a popular beach. In 1917, the Toyobo Tomita factory was established in the Matsubara area, and on holidays at the factory, Toyobo employees and their families living in Miyamachi company housing came to Matsugaura Beach to swim, and many beachgoers from Nagoya and Kameyama City also came to Tomita Isshiki. The beach at Tomita Isshiki was very crowded.
