We received a comment from a student at Tsukuba University:
This girl is wearing a Tsuitake. When women danced the Nihon Buyo (Traditional Japanese Dance) back then, they wore either the Tsuitake or Susohiki. Up until the Edo Period, they wore Tsuitake, but they gradually began to wear Susohiki. We know this was Tsuitake, because the length of her costume fits her height. Susohiki is usually longer than the wearer’s height.
